L&M started their journey in 1953 and they have been producing quality cigarettes fulfilled with original and innovative ideas ever since.
L&M was born in the United States of America when they were first created by the Liggett and Myers Company and manufactured by the Altria Group a long fifty eight years ago. When L&M launched they sprung into the light with the motto “American cigarettes of the highest quality with the best filter!” This is because when smokers got their hands on their first L&M cigarette they were astounded to see that the product not only contained a filter, but a filter that was not one sided. To be honest cigarettes with filters were already on the market back then but L&M made sure they stood out from the crowd with their white version.
Five years after its launch Liggett and Myers decided to make the whole world acquainted with L&M cigarettes and launch the brand internationally. This is because of the popularity rolling received and its solidified popularity in the United States. Why not share the unprecedented and ground breaking cigarette brand with the rest of the world? Everyone from Spaniards, to Argentineans, to Filipinos began to smoke the popular cigarettes and now, with exception of Hong Kong, they can be seen in every country, in all continents, all over the globe.
The popularity of the revolutionary cigarette company is there for all to see. As specified by the data and knowledge of the self governing agency of field examination “Business Analytics”, the secondary quarter of 2007, Phillip Morris labels took the first place in twenty five cities located in Russia with a market share of over twenty nine percent. It was during this press conference that it was announced that L&M ranked third in the entire world for sales volume. In addition to this, L&M also ranked second amongst all other cigarette labels produced by Phillip Morris International.
In recent years a selection of the L&M cigarette brands have been re-named due to some of the regulations put in place throughout Europe. These orders prohibited the use of the word ‘lights’ in the title of some cigarette labels. For example, this has led to L&M Lights now being renamed L&M Blue Label.
