In 1933 Kool cigarettes appeared as the first brand that virtually manufactured menthol cigarettes. Being menthol-dominated cigarette brand, Kool dilutes the taste of tobacco and numbs the mouth with 100 % pure menthol that is also characterized by less harsh inhalation. Earlier on Kool cigarettes could be purchased only from retailer shops but today buying cigarettes online has offered greater convenience to the smokers who can get their desired brands just by ordering via internet.

Kool cigarettes are manufactured by R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, one of the top leading tobacco companies. The balanced combination of two flavors is also obvious in the logo of Kool featuring double "O" in an interlocking style. These two alphabets refer to menthol and tobacco, both having "o" in their morphological structure.

Currently Kool cigarettes are available in three different packs: green, blue and red. The green colored Kool pack contains mild menthol flavor whereas the rest of the two colors are meant for light and full varieties of cigarettes respectively. It is pertinent to mention here that light and full versions were used to refer to the difference of nicotine level; however, today this classification is no longer in vogue by law because manufactures do increase the nicotine level to attract more customers and add to their income.

Until now Kool has been advertising its cigarettes by symbolizing the cool scenes of water and snow for the cool taste of menthol. Ironically, Kool cigarettes are on drowning track under its own waterfall. Since its two rivals Newport and Marlboro Menthol have been rising on the top while superseding Kool, the company has replaced the scenic pictures by male and female encounters and sports references. This is how the company is envisaging to regain its lost status in the international tobacco market.
